Local producer Springmount Fine Foods is celebrating after winning the silver medal at the 2016 Australian Food Awards (AFA) for their Apple Lime & Black Pepper Paste.
“We are thrilled to be a silver medalist, given that we are such a young business. It confirms that we are producing quality products, having also come 4th with the other paste that we entered, our Gingered Quince Paste. The other product we entered, Smoked Garlic Vinaigrette also scored very well. We hope to expand now into many more retail outlets in our beautiful region and beyond,” said Carmel, business owner.
The AFA, conducted by The Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria (RASV) builds on the success of RASV’s Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards (RMFFA) and is Australia’s leading national premium food awards program.
