On a perfect weekend for the Macedon Ranges Wine and Food Festival, visitors turned out in great numbers to visit the winegrowers and producers of the region. With many new visitors drawn to the region for the festival and regular, devoted fans turning out, the festival was a great success.
Wine and Food producers impressed Macedon MP Mary-Anne Thomas, who visited Cloud 9 Farm to share their hospitality on Saturday.
“What we have seen at this farm is cheese and wine produced at the highest standard. This is a wonderful example of where the Macedon Ranges is heading as a leading region in the state for paddock-to-plate quality food produced with passion and care,” Ms Thomas said.
Cloud 9 Farm at Pipers Creek, a popular destination over the weekend, participated in the festival for the first time this year.
“We are a farm that is a true paddock-to-plate farm. We start with well-cared-for animals and finish with fresh handmade artisan products at the cellar door,” explained Cloud 9’s Susy Deeble.
