Brooklands Free Range Farms

Located in BLAMPIED – on the volcanic mineral rich soils nestled amongst the volcanos known as the Seven Clusters you will find generational farmer Jono, and his wife Nat & their daughter Ruby tending to all the needs of their free range rare breed Berkshire Pigs and British White Grass Fed Cattle. With over 130 acres and access to the mineral spring fed Captains Creek their sustainable, chemical free farming practices are not only good for their animals but also with the environment in mind. Paddocks are ploughed and fertilised by their pigs, then drill seeded to grow a seasonal nutritious crop for the pigs to munch on and rotate on the farm. Each rotational paddock has moveable piggy pads that resemble glamping and have the best views of the region with Mount Kooroocheang and beyond.

Fifteen registered stud British White Cows lazily graze the fields together with their stud bull “Movita”, the British White beef is one not to miss. A small herd of Shorthorn cows have also been added to the mix which are crossed with the British Whites.

Also produced is wool for the hand spinners with their rare breed Finn Sheep and coloured Finn x Corriedale. Fleece can be purchased as whole and raw, as well as British White hides which are in great demand. All produce is born & raised on farm with extremely high ethics for animals raised for the plate, produce are personally taken by Jono or Nat to a non commercial small scale abattoir which is run on a free range farm at Camperdown. Being so small on arrival there might only be a handful of other animals there, hence the stress factor is greatly reduced.

Their produce range consists of pork & beef cuts, Nitrate Free Bacon, Kaiserfleisch, Hams and a range of sausages. Whole spit pigs are available on order.
